84 Lumber Buys Denver-Area Companies

84 Lumber Company, Eighty Four, PA, has purchased two Denver-area companies to add its network of more than 475 stores and 22 truss manufacturing plants.

JAC & Company is a seven-year-old company which provides installation services, such as framing and trim, to professional contractors. Front Range Panel is a wall panel component manufacturing plant which supplies the professional home building and construction market.

The two companies will now operate under the 84 Lumber banner as an 84 Lumber component manufacturing plant and as an 84 Lumber installed services hub.

Cicero, 84 Lumber executive vice president of operations. "The addition of these services in the market is part of our national strategy to continue to grow our presence in the component manufacturing and installed services areas.
  ;
84 Lumber is in the second year of its three year strategic growth plan announced in April 2006 geared to making the company a $10 billion sales organization by the end of 2009.

For 2007, the company will open at least 30 new locations and 11 component manufacturing facilities in high growth markets in the South and Western regions of the country, including Florida, the Carolinas, Texas, Arizona, California, Oregon, and Utah.
