The recession presented many challenges for electrical distribution, and market leader Border States Electric was not immune to those challenges. In an interview that appeared in our August 10 issue, CEO Tammy Miller told MDM she was seeing "positive signals" in the market and forecasting growth in early 2010. "Regardless of what the economy throws at us in the next six or 12 months, Border States is well positioned to be profitable with strong cash flow. With our dedicated employee-owners, product and service offerings, geographic diversity, and effective use of technology, we are delivering innovative supply chain solutions to our customers and taking market share," Miller said.
