Testimonials

"The Wholesale Distribution Economic Reports provide very valuable information for application to our strategic planning process. While much of this information is available in the public domain, finding the information and then relating it in a meaningful format would be an impractical task. This is a great resource!"
- Chase D. Knight, Chairman, S&K Distributors Inc., dba Johnstone Supply

"These reports are the best source of information I've seen to get a quick snapshot of where a particular wholesaler-distributor stands relative to peers and to other wholesaler-distributors in other sub-sectors."
- Jim Miller, Managing Director, Supply Chain Equity Partners

Revenues for wholesale distributors of motor vehicles and parts were $299.7 billion in 2010, an increase of 19.5% compared to 2009. This report forecasts that sector revenue will gain another x.x% in 2011. This is now the sixth-largest wholesale distribution sector, representing x.x% of total wholesale distribution industry revenues in 2010 compared to x.x% of total wholesale distribution industry revenues in 1992.

Wholesale distributors that supply the automotive supply chain continued to improve in 2011. Multiple factors were contributing to the rebound, including slow job growth and low interest rates. According to the July 2011 Federal Reserve survey of loan officers, banks continued to ease lending standards and terms on all major types of loans (except real estate).
