products and service, simultaneously propelling Flowserve into position as the world's second largest valve producer,' said
Flowserve chairman, president and CEO C. Scott Greer. 'While it is never pleasant, we've had to make some difficult decisions
regarding facilities and personnel.'
Steps announced by the company include:
Closing its site at Jeffersonville,
IN, affecting 201 people. Production will move to Sulphur Springs, TX.
Closing sites at Marlborough, MA, affecting
49 people; Olive Branch, MS, affecting 66 people; Liberty, NC, affecting 66 people; and Scarborough, Ontario, affecting 25
people. Production from these facilities will move to Cookeville, TN.
Closing the site at Provo, UT, affecting 50 people.
Production from this facility will be split between Springville, UT and Lynchburg, VA.
