The Customer Solutions Center will

The Customer Solutions Center will
reside on a 10-acre site, and include space for technology development, customer engagement and training. Secure vehicle
testing bays will offer mobile equipment manufacturers confidential application testing and development. The training area
will include a hands-on hose assembly zone, a contamination control center and a fluid power circuit lab.
It will employ
approximately 45 engineers, technicians and scientists. Staffers will include current associates already residing in Denver,
transfers from Gates Rockford and Galesburg, IL facilities and new hires. Gates expects to take occupancy in December of
this year.
Ralph Rivera, group president of the Worldwide Hose and Connectors Division, said the center would reinforce
Gates' technological leadership and grow the firm's business in three critical ways. 'First, we will increase the pace of
our technological exploration and development. There has never been a greater need to seek new solutions to changing customer
needs. Second, we will provide even greater support to our customers through hands-on partnering on product development.
Bringing our customers closer to the development process will enable us to find better solutions faster.
'Finally, we
will provide a gathering place for the kind of comprehensive technical training we've only dreamed about until now. Quality
technical training is key to our future growth and success,' Rivera said.
