Motion Industries Inc., Birmingham, AL, ($2.5 billion in annual sales) has acquired Voorhies Supply Co. LLC, a Louisiana supplier of industrial parts and supplies.


Motion is a distributor of industrial maintenance, repair, and operation (MRO) replacement parts.


Voorhies Supply Co. LLC has been privately held and operated since 1949. The company, which does business as Voorhies Supply Company and Standard Supply and Hardware, serves the industrial marketplace through eight locations in Louisiana.


This strategic move is a continuation of our expansion plans in Louisiana, and we are pleased to have Voorhies Supply join our organization," said Motion President and CEO Bill Stevens.
