2011 Divestments: HVACR/Plumbing business to Hajoca Corp.; SESCO/QUESCO to Sonepar Canada
HD Supply continued to pare down its business in 2011, with the divestment of its HVACR/Plumbing business to Hajoca Corp. It recently, in 2012, sold its industrial PVF business to Shale-Inland Holding. The distributor's goal is to invest in expansion in areas where it feels it holds a leadership position, and to exit "unattractive opportunities" for the business. After the latest divestment - industrial PVF - CEO Joe DeAngelo said: "After careful evaluation, we determined that divesting our Industrial PVF business is in the best interests of our company as we seek to continue strengthening our industry-leading businesses."
