ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS: Brent is currently working on his third book for the NAW Institute for Distribution Excellence (formerly called DREF). His book about wholesale distributor M&A, The Acquisitive Distributor: Four Keys to Buying A Wholesale Distributor, was published in 2005. Grover is also the author of More to the Bottom Line: Customer Profitability Tools for Distributors. Brent is a frequent contributor to Modern Distribution Management. He was named an NAW Institute Fellow in 2005, one of only four Fellows so recognized by the research arm of the National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors. Grover was CEO and co-owner of National Paper & Packaging Co., which he sold in 1999. He was also a consultant at an international public accounting firm and served on the teaching faculty at Case Weatherhead School of Management. Prior to joining Baird, he was a partner in the securities and mergers and acquisitions practice of the law firm of Foley & Lardner. He is a member of the State Bars of Florida and Wisconsin, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Tom graduated, magna cum laude, from Notre Dame Law School, and received a BBA degree with a concentration in Accounting, cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame. He began his career in the Chicago office of Ernst & Whinney. Jim is also a Partner in Supply Chain Equity, a value-added private equity firm founded and backed by former distribution executives, financial advisors and distribution-focused consultants that invests exclusively in wholesale distribution companies. Jim graduated, magna cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University with JD/MBA degrees, and received a B.S. degree, cum laude, from Ohio Wesleyan University.
