Leveling the Playing Field: A Cloud Computing Case Study for Distributors

Thursday  September 15, 2011  1:00 PM  EDT

When executives from Zoro Tools sought a business management system to manage its fast-growing distribution business, they wanted something flexible – but robust – that integrates with their online sales model.

As an e-commerce startup focusing on the needs of small businesses, the distributor needed a system that would allow it the flexibility to integrate seamlessly with its proprietary website and systems, but also provide for changing business conditions.

Most importantly, Zoro Tools needed a system that would grow as it grew. A cloud model – with applications and infrastructure delivered over the Internet – seemed to fit the bill and allow the distributor to do more with less. Zoro has taken advantage of cloud-based applications to grow its small- and mid-sized customer base, compete nationwide, as well as help its own customers to compete more effectively by lowering their cost-to-serve.

In this 60-minute webcast, sponsored by NetSuite, Zoro Tools tells its unique story and how it has used cloud computing-based IT applications to manage its business. Zoro will address:

  • Allocation of IT Resources
  • Drop ship and special order management
  • CRM and Email Marketing
  • Order and Inventory Management
  • Online Catalog Management
