The new 50,000 square foot facility triples the size of F.W. Webb's Boston footprint while decreasing its carbon footprint, according to a press release from the company. The green design of the building includes an array of solar panels on the roof and a geothermal unit for its heating and cooling needs.
The new F.W. Webb location was also built with an open-concept design that allows wholesale trade customers to browse merchandise and will carry HVAC controls and refrigeration and fire protection products in addition to the company's core industrial PVF and plumbing and heating supplies.
The new F.W. Webb wholesale supply store will open November 21 and Frank Webb's Bath Center will open by the end of the year.
