Chicago-based Grainger (NYSE: GWW) reported sales for November 2011 were up 15 percent from the prior-year period.

Results included a 5 percentage point contribution from acquisitions. Excluding acquisitions, sales were up 10 percent, including 10 percentage points from volume and 2 from price, offset by a 2 percentage point decline from 2010 oil spill-related sales.
By segment, U.S. sales in November were up 9 percent, Canadian sales up 15 percent in local currency, and Other Businesses up 23 percent excluding acquisitions.
