Imperial Trading Co., a New Orleans, LA-based super-regional grocery distributor, has acquired the Clifford D. Fite Co., Cedartown, GA. Fite services convenience stores, supermarkets and drug stores in Georgia and northwest Alabama.

Through the purchase of Fite, Imperial expands its presence in the southeast U.S.

"We are looking to make more acquisitions in the grocery distribution sector," said John Georges, CEO of Imperial Trading Co. "This is in line with our overall objective of increasing our sales and expanding jobs while enhancing services to our customers."
