Here's what the latest premium issue of MDM has to offer.

The latest issue of MDM's premium content, out now, is available at mdm.com. In it, we present the results of our latest MDM Survey on the Economy. Our front-page feature takes a closer look at one question in that survey regarding continued tight credit markets.
 
While distributors and manufacturers continue to see less credit availability, banks are also reporting decreased demand for credit. We spoke with distributors about their recent experiences; we also spent some time visiting with the executive vice president for commercial services of Buffalo, NY-based First Niagara Financial Group. He talked about how First Niagara - a regional bank - is growing and benefiting from current bank market conditions with recent acquisitions. He also spoke to what banks are looking for from their current and potential banking customers. (Read the Q&A with First Niagara.)
 
We also continue our association interviews this month with a Q&A with the past and incoming presidents of the Heating Air Conditioning Refrigeration Distributors International. The group's members are facing a number of new laws governing key elements of the products they sell. Read the interview to see how HARDI is approaching the issue. MDM has enjoyed visiting with the leaders of the different associations and learning about the diverse issues each distribution sector is facing.
