Industrial distributor Motion Industries, Birmingham, AL, has completed two acquisitions: Dayton Supply & Tool Company, Dayton, OH, and D.P. Brown of Detroit, Inc.

Dayton has two additional locations: Cincinnati, OH and Mount Vernon, OH. D.P. Brown has four locations in Michigan and Ohio.
Dayton Supply & Tool Company distributes machine tools, abrasives and industrial supplies to service manufacturers and contractors in Central and Southwestern Ohio and Northern Kentucky. The company also consults in the tooling process, from implementing a tool crib management system to designing a customized supply chain management program.
D.P Brown distributes conveyor belting, idlers, bearings, pulleys and power transmission products in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio. Their conveyor belt services provide on-site installation and vulcanizing with experienced and certified crews as well as complete engineering services and fabrication of engineered conveyor systems.
Motion Industries is a wholly owned subsidiary of Genuine Parts Company (NYSE: GPC).
Motion Industries has more than 500 operations including nine distribution centers throughout North America and serves more than 150,000 customers from the food and beverage, pulp and paper, iron and steel, chemical, mining and aggregate, petrochemical, automotive, wood and lumber, and pharmaceutical industries.
