Entrants are required to submit an essay discussing how technology will affect the supply chain and the future strategies of wholesaler-distributors.
The scholarship winner will be announced in September 2004 and the winning essay will be published in a forthcoming edition of Modern Distribution Management, the newsletter for the wholesale distribution channel.
'Throughout the last decade, my colleagues and I have worked with senior distribution executives on strategic issues while advancing management knowledge about wholesale distribution through our many books, research projects, and articles,' said Pembroke Consulting President Adam J. Fein. 'We want to give something back and help create future thought leaders for the industry.'
'Our publication has served the distribution industry for 37 years,' said Modern Distribution Management Editor and Publisher Thomas P. Gale. 'We're committed to advancing strategic and operational thinking. This scholarship exactly matches our mission as a resource to help build the future of this industry.'
