Lewis-Goetz is a distributor of industrial hose products, conveyor belts and accessories, hydraulic hose and fittings, gaskets and seals, and metal hose products. It was purchased by Audax Group in 2007, a private equity group. The distributor has continued to grow by strategic acquisition over the past several years. In a press release announcing its acquisition of International Gasket and Supply in 2009, CEO Jeff Crane said: "The Gulf Coast is the single largest end market for our fabricated products in North America. Previous acquisitions (Goodall Rubber in 2006 and Samson Industrial in 2007) provided our first foothold in that region of the country. IGS is yet another opportunity for us to demonstrate our commitment to those markets and the important national customers that operate there." Lewis-Goetz reported strength in upstream automotive and coal, and weakness in commercial construction and aerospace. The distributor is targeting oil and gas, petrochemical and specialty chemical processing as growth industries in 2010.
