Carlisle Companies Inc. (NYSE: CSL), Charlotte, NC, reported sales of $665.9 million for the third quarter of 2010, a 10 percent increase from the third quarter 2009. Organic sales increased 7.9 percent. Profit increased 8 percent to $50.5 million.

For the first nine months, sales were $1.9 billion, an increase of 10 percent over the same period a year ago. Organic sales were up 6.6 percent. Profit increased 4 percent to $113.4 million.
In the Construction Materials segment, third quarter 2010 sales of $354.8 million increased by 4.3 percent, primarily a result of higher demand for re-roofing applications. EBIT declined 10 percent to $54.1 million.
Engineered Transportation Solutions third quarter 2010 sales of $186million increased by 17 percent compared to the same prior year period. EBIT of $8.4 million increased by 11 percent. The segment achieved double digit organic sales growth in all of its major product lines.
Third quarter sales for the Interconnect Technologies segment increased by 43 percent to $61.4 million. EBIT increased 67 percent to $8.2 million.
FoodService Products third quarter sales increased by 1.6 percent to $63.7 million. EBIT declined 25 percent to $6.3 million.
