Network Services Company, Mt. Prospect, IL, an $8.2 billion marketing group of independent distributors selling foodservice disposables, industrial packaging, janitorial supplies, and grocery supplies serving North America, has formed a strategic alliance with INPACS, a similar organization serving European markets.
"Our agreement with INPACS allows both groups to share their expertise to expand their value to suppliers and customers, leverage their combined strengths, and increase their businesses on a global basis by serving multi-national corporations," states R. James Alexy, chief executive officer and president of Network. Both groups provide marketing, purchasing, national and regional selling programs, and other related services.
Network Services Company is composed of 74 wholesale distributors selling a wide range of disposable paper and plastic products, packaging, and janitorial supplies primarily for healthcare, industrial, building service contractor, and foodservice markets. Eight member distributors market and distribute printing and imaging products. Headquartered in Mt. Prospect, Illinois, Network has more than 400 distribution locations in North America.
INPACS (www.inpacs.com), headquartered in Berlin, Germany, consists of five independent wholesaler groups with 150 locations in 16 European countries. They provide a variety of janitorial cleaning supplies, equipment, and disposable paper and plastic products to away from home markets. Sales of these products in 2004 exceeded $1.5 billion (US). The precise terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but both groups will continue to operate separately and independently.
