Eaton Acquires Hayward's Industrial Filtration Unit

Eaton Corporation, Cleveland, OH, has completed its purchase of the industrial filtration business of Hayward Industries, Inc., Elizabeth, NJ. Eaton announced plans to purchase the business on July 8. Hayward's industrial filtration business had sales of $100 million over the last 12 months, and employs 530 people worldwide.
Hayward Filtration operates five manufacturing facilities in the United States, Belgium, Germany, China, and Brazil. It produces filtration systems for industrial and commercial customers worldwide and is a global leader in liquid, high-purity bag filtration systems. Its primary markets include general industrial, petro-chemical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, power utilities, marine and water.
"As a leader in the industrial filtration market, Hayward represents a natural extension of Eaton's fluid power business," said Alexander M. Cutler, Eaton chairman and chief executive officer. "Hayward has enjoyed attractive profitability and returns, and we expect this acquisition to be immediately accretive to Eaton's earnings."
