Rockwell Automation 3Q Organic Sales Grow 4%

Rockwell Automation Inc. (NYSE: ROK), Milwaukee, WI, reported sales for the third quarter of $1.6 billion, an increase of 4 percent compared to the same period a year ago. Organic sales grew 4 percent. Profit increased 6.8 percent to $203.7 million.

Architecture & software third-quarter sales were $671.0 million, an increase of 1 percent from last year. Control products & solutions sales were $953.2 million, an increase of 6 percent year-on-year.

For the first nine months, sales were $2 billion, a decrease of 0.6 percent compared to the same period a year ago. Organic sales increased 1 percent. Profit decreased slightly to $541 million.

CEO Keith D. Nosbusch said he expects market conditions to remain stable throughout the fourth quarter.
