An explosion has destroyed two Falk Corp. buildings in downtown Milwaukee, leaving three people dead and at least 46 injured. Falk is owned by Rexnord Corp.
According to news reports, the blast originated in a 170,000-pound propane tank at a Falk Corp. parts distribution center, which was destroyed in the blast. Employees reportedly detected a leak and the plant was in the process of evacuating when the explosion occurred.
Falk manufactures large industrial gears at the complex.
