The economy is expanding, with upbeat reports in employment, construction spending and the manufacturing sector splashed across headlines in recent days. But a change is coming, according to Alan Beaulieu of ITR Economics, who spoke at last week's National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors Executive Summit in Washington, DC.
"The economy is going to shift on you," Beaulieu warned attendees. "The rate of rise is going to slow in late 2018 and 2019."
But, he added, what happens in the nation's capital with regard to regulations and legislation has less to do with your success than your actions as business leaders.
"It's not about Washington," he said. "It's about the decisions you make to transform your business."
The next MDM webcast was designed to help you make the right decisions. The webcast, The Future of Distribution, held Feb. 21 at 1 p.m. EST, will be unlike any other we've done, with MDM CEO Tom Gale moderating a conversation with Mike Marks of Indian River Consulting Group and MDM President Ian Heller on what the digital distribution enterprise of the future looks like.
Here’s the format: 10 minutes of presentation, then a conversation (and likely debate) on how the industry will respond to Amazon Business and other game-changers impacting every sector.
We welcome your questions beforehand, so you can ask Tom, Mike and Ian anything about how to best prepare for the changing economy and the future of distribution.
Send your questions now to firstname.lastname@example.org or simply ask online during the event. Either way, don't miss this important webcast that will outline short- and long-term strategies to succeed in the uncertain future of distribution.
