Mallory Safety and Supply is an independent safety distributor on the West Coast. The company places safety directors at jobsites throughout North America, but has brick and mortar stocking branches in Washington, Oregon and California. In June 2012, Mallory acquired the ENSA North America training division of Airstreams Renewables Inc., a career safety and technical training company. ENSA provides wind energy-specific height/rescue and confined space training and, under the Mallory umbrella, provides equipment, equipment rental and service, safety staffing and other solutions to its training customers.
Tim Loy, president of Mallory Safety and Supply, says he sees almost all of company’s markets as flat, although the company is winning share in the local government sector. “Growth will come from non-traditional revenue streams such as training, staffing and security, or adjacent geographical or vertical markets like industrial,” he says. Loy says he’s seeing strength in state and local government manufacturing end-markets, and he’s seeing weakness in defense and construction end-markets.
