DXP Enterprises reported in its annual SEC filing that in 2013, the sales of metalworking and bearing/power transmission products to manufacturers of oilfield equipment fell. Sales however were up in the year by 13.2 percent, in large part due to acquisitions, which accounted for $63.7 million in sales in 2013. Organic sales growth in 2013 was 0.4 percent. DXP Enterprises’ sales growth strategy in recent years includes acquisitions and cross-selling to existing customers through expanded product offerings. Integrated supply is also a growth driver for DXP.

DXP is organized into three business segments: Service Centers, Supply Chain Services and Innovative Pumping Solutions.  The Service Centers provide maintenance, repair and operating (MRO) products, equipment and integrated services, including technical expertise and logistics capabilities. Product categories include rotating equipment, bearing, power transmission, hose, fluid power, metal working, industrial supply and safety product and service categories. The SCS segment manages customers’ supply chains, including inventory. The IPS segment fabricates and assembles integrated pump system packages custom made to customer specifications.
