Graybar made its first acquisition in more than a decade when it purchased Advantage Industrial Automation in April 2015. The company is "experiencing a strong start to the year in the commercial construction market," according to its Market Leaders nomination form. "Our institutional and government end-customer business is also performing well. The industrial MRO and OEM markets are slower than we would like, but that is consistent with the overall industry."
Graybar sees opportunity in "market demands for LED lighting renovations and communications and data infrastructure upgrades to support connectivity," and it is "very well positioned to participate with technical expertise and market leading product solutions."
