Nearly half of DXP's end markets are related to the oil & gas industry, and continued weakness in that market coupled with slow growth across its other end markets significantly drove down sales in 2016.
DXP is organized into three business segments: Service Centers, Supply Chain Services and Innovative Pumping Solutions. The Service Centers provide maintenance, repair and operating (MRO) products, equipment and integrated services, including technical expertise and logistics capabilities. Product categories include rotating equipment, bearing, power transmission, hose, fluid power, metal working, industrial supply and safety product and service categories. The SCS segment manages customers’ supply chains, including inventory. The IPS segment fabricates and assembles integrated pump system packages custom made to customer specifications.
