The 2019 Mid-Year Economic Update

When

July 11, 2019 1:00 PM to July 11, 2019 2:00 PM EST

Event Description

After another strong year of revenue growth in 2018 for distributors, MDM is forecasting a meaningful downshift in the second half of 2019 and for the year overall. Join us for our free, one-hour webcast on Thursday, July 11, 1-2 pm Eastern, to get a better picture on how distribution end markets are shaping up for the second half of the year and the major economic trends impacting distribution channels.

MDM research partner Brian Lewandowski, associate director of the Business Research Division of the University of Colorado Boulder's Leeds School of Business, will share MDM’s latest market research, key economic trends and our view on the wholesale distribution industry's market sectors. Lewandowski, as author of MDM’s Economic Benchmarks for Wholesale Distribution for the past nine years, will once again give us an insightful look at current and forecast economic indicators.

While wholesale distribution revenues in 2018 remained strong with a 6.8% increase over 2017, MDM’s forecast for 2019 is for only a 2.4% increase in revenues. Join us to get a better picture on how distribution markets are shaping up for the second half of the year and the major economic trends impacting distribution channels.

Key takeaways:

  • Growth forecasts for 2019 and 2020
  • 2018 Performance Review for 19 Wholesale Distribution Sectors
  • 2019 End-market trending and forecasts
