Report: AVIC to Acquire Henniges

Littlejohn has been looking for a buyer for the auto-parts manufacturer since October.

Aviation Industry Corp. of China has agreed to acquire U.S. auto-parts supplier Henniges Automotive Holdings Inc. for $800 million, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal.

Henniges had sales of $825 million in 2014, according to the report.

Littlejohn & Co., the private-equity owner of Henniges, put the Auburn Hills, MI, company up for sale last year, along with fluid power distributor SunSource. No buyer for SunSource has been named yet.
