Fastenal’s October Sales Up 17.5%

Daily sales rise 12.4 percent, as manufacturing growth slows and construction remains steady.

Fastenal Co. (Nasdaq: FAST), Winona, MN, reported October sales of $469.8 million, up 17.5 percent compared with October 2017. The company reported daily sales of $20.4 million, up 12.4 percent compared with the year-ago period.

By end market, the distributor reported 12.1 percent growth in manufacturing, which is down compared with the same period a year ago, and 14.6 percent growth in non-residential construction, up compared with the year-ago period. By product line, fastener sales rose 10.1 percent while sales of other products rose 14 percent.
