Ferguson Acquires Matera Paper

Acquisition expands company's JanSan business in Texas.

Plumbing distributor Ferguson Enterprises Inc., Newport News, VA, has acquired Matera Paper Co. Inc., San Antonio, TX. Terms were not disclosed.

Matera, which distributes commercial and industrial cleaning chemicals, supplies and equipment to facilities throughout Texas, has 250 associates and five locations in San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Austin and Corpus Christi.

“This acquisition further demonstrates our commitment to the commercial MRO industry,” said Ferguson CEO Frank Roach. “Matera has been in business for nearly 60 years and has a history of strong organic growth. They will be a great asset to Ferguson and our JanSan business in Texas.”
