Ohio Transmission Corp., Columbus, OH, has acquired PK Controls Inc., Plain City, OH. Terms were not disclosed.
PK Controls is an engineering and services company that specializes in factory automation and controls. The company's 74 employees will bring Ohio Transmission's total workforce to almost 900.
The acquisition "significantly enhances Ohio Transmission Corporation’s capabilities across our entire product portfolio,” said Phil Derrow, president and CEO of Ohio Transmission. “Our customers continue to favor supplier-partners with the resources to help them improve their processes and solve problems rather than merely supplying parts, and PK Controls can handle everything from simple control panel design-build to complex automation and field service solutions."
Matt Patel, the owner of PK Controls, will continue to lead the team. PK Controls will operate under the same name but as a division of OTP Industrial Solutions, which provides technical sales and service for industrial automation, motion control, fluid power, pumps, spray finishing, sealant and adhesive application, and power transmission systems and products.
