Owens & Minor Names Chief Commerical Officer

W. Marshall Simpson rejoins Owens & Minor in a new role.

Owens & Minor Inc. (NYSE: OMI), Richmond, VA, has named W. Marshall Simpson as executive vice president & chief commercial officer, effective Oct. 4, 2015.

Simpson, who was most recently CEO of consulting firm Dominions Medical, served for 20 years at Owens & Minor, from 1991 to 2011. Simpson, will serve on the leadership team of President & CEO P. Cody Phipps.

In his new role, Simpson is charged with developing a domestic sales and marketing strategy that leverages the company's extensive logistics network and customer relationships, encompassing the full spectrum of manufacturer and provider service offerings.
