SRS Acquires Florence, Amagansett in NY

Building products distributor SRS has expanded into the New York market by acquiring Florence Corporation and Amagansett Building Materials.

McKinney, Texas-based building products distributor SRS Distribution Inc. has acquired New York entity Florence Corporation and Amagansett Building Materials.

Collectively, Florence and Amagansett distribute broad line building products, including lumber, roofing, siding, windows, doors and other related products with five locations in the Long Island area.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Patrick Droesch and his brother-in-law, Rob Holden, will continue to lead the company’s team under the Florence and Amagansett banners, SRS said.

“We are excited to announce our latest partnership with Florence and Amagansett in Long Island,” said Dan Tinker, SRS president and CEO. “Patrick, Rob, and the rest of the Company’s dedicated employees have built a tremendous business over the years known for its outstanding customer service and quality products. The Company is a perfect fit with our existing operation on Long Island and together we will continue to build upon the legacy Patrick’s grandfather began more than 75 years ago.”
