A.M. Castle Sales Decline 21.3% in 2015

Company agrees to sell Total Plastics subsidiary.

A. M. Castle & Co., Franklin Park, IL, a global distributor of specialty metal and plastic products, reported sales for 2015 of $770.8 million, down 21.3 percent from 2014. The company reported a loss of $209.8 million, compared to a loss of $119.4 million the prior year.

The company reported fourth-quarter sales of $164.2 million, down 29.1 percent from the same period a year ago. The company reported a loss of $119.7 million, compared to a loss of $29.7 million the prior year quarter.

The company has also agreed to sell its Total Plastics Inc. subsidiary, and has closed facilities in Houston and Edmonton
