Actuant’s Sales Up 7%

Company posts solid sales and earnings in fiscal third quarter.

Actuant Corp. (NYSE: ATU), Milwaukee, WI, reported sales of  $317 million for the fiscal third quarter ended May 31, 2018, a 7 percent increase over the comparable prior-year quarter. Core sales improved 4 percent year-over-year, the company said. Net earnings were $29 million, compared to $22.5 million in the year-ago period.

The company’s industrial segment sales rose 8 percent to $108 million for the quarter. Energy segment sales were level with the year-ago period, at $84 million. Sales in the engineered solutions segment rose 12 percent to $125 million.
