Air Products to Increase Prices

Distributor to raise pricing for liquid and bulk industrial gases, effective October 1.

Industrial gases distributor Air Products, Lehigh Valley, PA, said it will increase pricing for liquid and bulk industrial gas products effective October 1.

The distributor said it will increase product pricing, monthly service charges, and surcharges for merchant customers in North America as follows:

  • Up to 25 percent for liquid and bulk hydrogen;
  • Up to 20 percent for liquid argon;
  • Up to 15 percent for liquid nitrogen and liquid oxygen;
  • Up to 10 percent for liquid carbon dioxide and monthly service charges.

The company said some price adjustments may be outside of these ranges based on specific situations. Helium prices also will be increased based on supply/demand and cost situations and may be customer specific.  

The adjustments are in response to increases in sourcing, production and delivery costs, and support continued investments in reliability, security, and safety, Air Products said.
