Altra Sales Up 24% in Third Quarter

Sales for the first nine months increased 21.9 percent.

Altra Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq:AIMC), Quincy, MA, has reported third quarter sales of $214.6 million, up 24 percent from the same period in 2016. Profit was $13.3 million compared to $5.3 million the previous year.

Excluding the impact of the Stromag acquisition, third quarter net sales were up 3.8 percent from the same quarter of 2016.

Sales for the first nine months were $653.4 million, up 21.9 percent from the same period a year ago. Profit increased 66 percent to $39 million.
