Boise Cascade Co. (NYSE: BCC), Boise, ID, has agreed to acquire American Lumber Distributors and Brokers, Inc., Birmingham, Alabama. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

American Lumber is a wholesale distributor of lumber as well as plywood, OSB, James Hardie siding and engineered wood products. 

This marks the fourth regional distributor that Boise Cascade has acquired in the past year. In the past 12 months, Boise has purchased Arling Lumber, Cincinnati, Ohio, Lumberman’s Wholesale Distributors, Nashville, Tennessee, and Norman Distribution, Medford, Oregon.
