Carlisle Sales Up 11.9% in 1Q

Profit increases 73.9 percent during the quarter.

Carlisle Cos. Inc. (NYSE: CSL), Charlotte, NC, reported sales for the first quarter of $794 million, up 11.9 percent from the previous year. Profit increased 73.9 percent to $68.5 million.

For the first quarter, interconnect technology sales were up 1.2 percent to $196.7 million; construction materials sales for the quarter increased 8.7 percent to $403.7 million; fluid technologies sales increased 2.1 percent, on a pro forma basis, to $61.2 million; brake and friction sales decreased 17 percent to $72 million; and food service product sales increased 5.6 percent to $60.4 million.
