Graybar Sales Up 3.5% in 2Q

Profit for the electrical distributor decreased 13.6 percent to $25.1 million.

St. Louis, MO-based Graybar reported sales for the second quarter of $1.6 billion, a 3.5 percent increase over the same period a year ago. Profit decreased 13.6 percent to $25.1 million.

For the first six months of the year, sales were $3 billion, a 4.7 percent increase from the same period last year. Profit decreased 7 percent to $37.6 million.

"We continue to invest in people, locations and technology that can enhance our service capabilities and position Graybar for long-term growth,” said Kathleen M. Mazzarella, president and CEO.
