Kennametal Names Nolan CEO

New president replaces retiring Carlos Cardoso.

Industrial tool manufacturer Kennametal Inc. (NYSE: KMT), Latrobe, PA, has named Donald A. “Don” Nolan as the company’s president and CEO, effective November 17.

Nolan replaces Carlos Cardoso, whose retirement is effective December 31.

"In Don Nolan, we have selected a dynamic leader with deep expertise in materials and metallurgy and an excellent track record delivering growth and performance objectives," said William R. Newlin, the company’s new board chairman whose appointment also is effective November 17.  "We expect Don to accelerate the company's growth with industry-leading customer engagement and innovation, while ensuring we have the right people, portfolio, cost structure and performance to serve Kennametal."
