Rubix, Europe’s largest industrial distributor, has won a three-year contract with Owens Corning’s European businesses, covering eight countries. Rubix will help standardize the mechanical components used in Owens Corning’s plants with the intent of streamline sourcing processes, improving productivity and increasing the efficiency of working capital, the company says.

The countries covered by the contract are Belgium, the Czech Republic, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain and the United Kingdom.

Rubix already had a well-established relationship with Owens Corning in Europe through its brands Orexad in France, Minetti in Italy and Biesheuvel in the Netherlands, and had been developing a business relationship in Poland with Paroc, which was acquired by Owens Corning in February 2018.

“We are delighted that we can continue to build our relationship with Owens Corning. This agreement is further proof of our developing pan-European presence in the construction and aggregates sector,” says Philippe Hervieux, group key account director at Rubix.

Rubix, Europe’s largest supplier of industrial maintenance, repair and overhaul products and services, was created from the merger of IPH with Brammer in 2017, following the acquisition of Brammer by Advent International. From around 650 + locations across 23 countries, 8,000 employees help to identify, install and provide a leading range of industrial products and services to more than 220,000 customers.
