Sonepar to Acquire Four Asian Companies

French electrical distributor adding HipTung Cables, Min Kong Electric, Dilon and ETS-Oakwell.

France-based electrical distributor Sonepar will acquire four Asian companies, adding €23 million (US$28 million) in sales and 67 associates. 

HipTung Cables, a specialized power cables distributor in Hong Kong and Macau, and electrical wholesaler Min Kong Electric of Hong Kong have joined Sonepar's Hong Kong business arm, Supermoon.

Dilon, a Singaporean specialized distributor of fasteners and machined components, and ETS-Oakwell, a Bangkok-based joint venture among ETS Engineering, ETS Provider and Oakwell,, will join Sonepar's Singapore distribution entity, Oakwell.
These additions expand Sonepar's footprint in Southeast Asia.
