Building materials distributor Stock Building Supply Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: STCK), Raleigh, NC, announced the opening of two new structural component plants, serving customers in the Raleigh-Durham, NC, and Salt Lake City, UT, metropolitan areas.
Roof and floor truss manufacturing has begun at both of the new facilities.
"Across our footprint, builders are increasingly using prefabricated components as a means to reduce cycle times and improve jobsite efficiencies," said Jeff Rea, president and CEO. "The additional component capacity now available in North Carolina and Utah increases our total number of component plants to 15 and demonstrates our commitment to capturing and professionally servicing the increased demand for this strategic product category."
