United Rentals Canada Completes WesternOne Acquisition

Company closes previously announced deal for $90.4 million in cash.

United Rentals, Inc. (NYSE: URI), Stamford, CT, said that its subsidiary, United Rentals of Canada, Inc., has completed the acquisition of WesternOne Rentals & Sales LP for $90.4 million in cash.

WesternOne provides rental equipment to customers in Western Canada. The deal expands United Rentals’ service to construction and industrial customers in Alberta, British Columbia and Manitoba with a larger offering of general construction equipment and portable heat solutions. The acquisition also gives United Rentals a greater presence in the sports and entertainment market as well as a comprehensive propane and diesel fuel service, the company said.
