WD-40 Company (NASDAQ: WDFC), San Diego, CA, reported sales for the fiscal third quarter ended May 31 of $107 million, an increase of 9 percent year-over-year. Profit increased 11.8 percent to $16.1 million.
Third quarter maintenance products sales were $98.8 million, up 11 percent from the prior year.
Homecare and cleaning products sales were $8.2 million for the third quarter, down 12 percent year-over-year.
Americas segment sales in the third quarter were up 8 percent to $53 million compared to the prior year quarter. The Europe, Middle East, Africa and India segment sales were $39.6 million, up 15 percent and Asia-Pacific segment sales were $14.5 million, down 2 percent year-over-year.
For the first nine months of the fiscal year, sales were $305.9 million, an 8 percent increase compared to the prior year fiscal period. Profit for the period was $43.6 million, an increase of 13 percent.
