Carlisle Cos. Inc. (NYSE: CSL), Charlotte, NC, reported sales for the third quarter of $991 million, up 1.8 percent year-over-year. The company reported a loss of $9.8 million, as compared to a profit of $103.6 million in the third quarter last year.
Net sales from the acquisitions of Micro-Coax, Inc. (Micro-Coax), in the Carlisle Interconnect Technologies (CIT) segment, and MS Oberflächentechnik AG (MS Powder), in the Carlisle Fluid Technologies (CFT) segment, contributed a total of 1 percent to net sales in the quarter.
Third-quarter sales in the Carlisle Construction Materials segment increased 1.4 percent year-over-year, while Carlisle Interconnect Technologies sales grew 7.9 percent.
For the first nine months of the year, sales were $1.6 billion, up 3 percent over the prior-year period. Profit decreased 26.9 percent to $173.9 million.
