Manufacturer Danaher Corp. (NYSE: DHR), Washington, D.C., reported sales for the fourth quarter were $3.6 billion, up 15 percent over fourth quarter 2009. Core sales increased 13 percent. Profit improved 72.5 percent to $473.9 million.

Sales for the full year 2010 were $13.2 billion, up 18 percent over 2009. Core sales grew 11.5 percent. Profit increased 50 percent to $1.8 billion.
