Graybar, St. Louis, MO, reported sales for the first quarter of $1.3 billion, an increase of 0.2 percent compared to the same period last year. Profit fell 51 percent to $7.9 million.
“Although the first quarter was challenging, we remain optimistic about our growth opportunities for the future,” said Kathleen M. Mazzarella, chairman, president and CEO. “We invested in growth by opening five new locations so far this year. In the months to come, we plan to add more locations and capabilities that will extend our reach and work to the advantage of our customers.”
Graybar is a distributor of electrical, communications and data networking products with nearly 240 North American distribution facilities.
