Hexcel Corp. (NYSE: HXL), Stamford, CT, reported sales for the third quarter of $391.6 million, 11.3 percent above the same period a year ago. Profit rose 23.6 percent to $39.8 million.

For the first nine months, sales were $1.2 billion, a year-over-year increase of 14.8 percent. Profit increased 33 percent to $127.4 million.
